Nettuno Jazz Festival 2026 – Signals from the Forte
Great jazz returns to the stage at Forte Sangallo, remembering Tiziano Terzani

The Hangar Cultural Association, under the artistic direction of Francesco Bruno, returns to the stage of the Nettuno Jazz Festival 2026 – Signals from the Forte. Now in its sixth year, the festival will bring the next great names in Italian jazz to the stage at Forte Sangallo from August 27th to 29th, with a special focus, this year, on emerging female jazz artists.
The festival’s artistic design will be created by Maestro Leonardo Leonardi in collaboration with Silvana Maltese and will focus on Tiziano Terzani, the great Florentine writer, and his message of peace. This message is further underscored by the presence of EMERGENCY with the R1PUD1A campaign, an initiative that has so far attracted more than 300 municipalities (including Anzio and Nettuno), more than 500 schools, festivals, museums, theaters, cinemas, public figures, and artists: an important initiative that promotes the culture of peace, solidarity, and respect for human rights, rejecting war. Along with EMERGENCY, the C.U.R.A Association of Anzio and Nettuno, an organization active in the local area on various social issues, such as school dropouts and the food crisis, will also participate in the Festival.

The event kicks off on Wednesday, August 27th with The Pink Wave in Jazz, an evening dedicated to the new voices of Italian female jazz: at 9 pm, the duo Sonia Ziccardi & Enrico Bracco, followed at 10 pm by the Annalisa De Feo Trio with their Life project, featuring Annalisa De Feo on piano, Dario Miranda on double bass, and Ermanno Baron on drums. The event continues on Thursday, August 28th at 9 pm with the Straight Life Trio of Stefano Cocco Cantini, Ares Tavolazzi, and Andrea Beninati, a group that brings together three of the most influential musicians on the Italian jazz scene. The closing performance, on Friday, August 29th at 9 pm, features the Francesco Bruno 4tet with Beloved Standards, a journey through the most beloved pieces of the great jazz repertoire. The lineup includes, alongside Francesco Bruno on guitar, Pierpaolo Principato on piano, Andrea Colella on double bass, and Giorgio Raponi on drums.
Accompanying each evening are paintings by Leonardo Leonardi and Silvana Maltese, the exhibition L’Autodistratta by Danilo Iannoni, and, before each concert, a listening guide to jazz classics and new releases by AlfaMusic.
“This festival,” explains Francesco Bruno, “is taking place in a historical context of great drama, a time in which every human value seems increasingly lost and the disregard for the most basic human rights confronts us every day. I have often recalled Tiziano Terzani as an ambassador of peace, and to him, many years ago, I dedicated the project Le Parole Altre. Il Lungo Viaggio di Tiziano Terzani, performed together with his wife Angela Terzani Staude. This year, we wanted to dedicate this festival to him: we will do so by reviewing, during the evenings, some videos from this show, recalling his thoughts, which all of us—artists, organizers, and the audience—wish to share by staging this festival today. My heartfelt thanks go to the Municipality of Nettuno for the sensitivity they have once again shown towards this project and for the invaluable support they have received.”
