Nettuno Jazz 2025 “Segnali Dal Forte”
The Hangar Cultural Association, under the artistic direction of Francesco Bruno, returns to the Nettuno Jazz.25 Segnali dal Forte Festival, now in its fifth year. From August 28th to 30th, it will bring the next big names in jazz, dance, theater, poetry, and art exhibitions to the stage at Forte Sangallo. The languages of theater, poetry, dance, and painting intertwine with jazz music in a journey always rich in nuance and precious connections:
“Bringing this festival back to the stage,” explains Francesco Bruno, “is a source of great satisfaction, not only for me, but for the entire artistic community that participates, engaged in the challenge of bringing culture, art, and beauty to the Nettuno area.” “Welcome artists for peace,” said Tiziano Terzani! I believe that in this historical moment, in which every human value seems to be lost, it is important for us artists to send a strong signal, demonstrating that a different world, based on cooperation, understanding the value of cultural diversity, and solidarity, is achievable. My heartfelt thanks go to the Municipality of Nettuno for their sensitivity towards this project and the invaluable support received.”
The concerts of this 2025 edition will see the following on stage at 9:00 pm:
on August 28th, PAOLO RECCHIA & JORDAN CORDA ENSEMBLE,
on August 29th, MICHAEL ROSEN & 52ndJAZZ,
on August 30th, FRANCESCO BRUNO & JAVIER GIROTTO
But let’s go and tell you about all the other events that will enliven the Forte with the dense scent of creativity: The festival opens on August 28th with a dance performance by Simona Crivellone of the Fuoricentro dance school.
Inside the Sala delle Armi and the Sala del Camino, the exhibition “Mare e non solo” (Sea and Not Only) by Leonardo Leonardi, Silvana Maltese, and Claudio Agostinelli features watercolors, acrylics, oils, and objects made with everything the sea provides.
Poetry with “Lettere ad Personam” (Letters to a Person) by the poet Iago, individual poems dedicated and read, softly, to a single person. Two chairs placed a short distance apart, uniting two souls. At the end, Iago will write down a brief feeling born from this simple encounter and gift it to that person.
The “Il Borgo” theater company will perform Francesca De Francesco’s monologue, “Robert Johnson, the King of the Delta Blues,” inspired by the American guitarist and singer who became a legend of blues music: “The soul is just an investment,” Robert said, “and the devil took him at his word. In one captious and persuasive night, Robert gained everything… and lost everything.”
A Listening Corner will also be set up, featuring book and record illustrations in collaboration with Alfamusic, a historic Italian independent label with a vast jazz catalog, which will offer a listening guide to classic jazz songs on vinyl, along with the featured artists.
Under the artistic direction of Francesco Bruno, the Festival is produced by the Hangar Cultural Association with the support of the Municipality of Nettuno.
